Police in Suffolk County released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card at the Smith Haven Mall.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who was caught on camera using a credit card that was reported stolen from a Long Island mall over the summer.

Police said the suspect entered Foot Locker inside the Smith Haven Mall at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, attempting to use a credit card that had been stolen from an unlocked car parked in the mall parking lot earlier in the day.

Investigators described the suspect as an African American man who was wearing a pink shirt, white shorts and sneakers. The stolen merchandise has a total value of more than $500.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen credit card or stolen merchandise has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
